Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
At Mayespark Primary School, we believe that our Early Years Foundation Stage is crucial in developing firm foundations.
Our staff work hard to help children achieve their very best and meet the Early Learning Goals set out for them. We do this by presenting them with a range of memorable learning opportunities that they can access inside their classroom and in their outdoor learning garden. Much of their learning is play based and builds on their own experiences. We strongly believe that a solid partnership between home and school helps children to flourish and we continually encourage parents to engage in their child’s learning.
Early Years Curriculum
Our Nursery and Reception follow the EYFS curriculum, which has seven main areas of learning as follows:

- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts
